Monthly update on progress and achievement for Non-Active Members

MEETING HELD THIS MONTH

* Meeting was held on November 13th, 2003.

 

MAIN TOPICS:

*

Marketing efforts to get additional sponsors.

* We celebrated the 1st Anniversary on Saturday, November 22nd, 2003.
* We will distribute “Clean Seminyak Booklet” to active and non active member in December 2003.
* Presentation with Government officials on October 31st, 2003, this has been well received, including the community.

FINANCE

*

In November we spent Rp 3.060.000,- to remove rubbish from the beach and other areas.

III

UPCOMING ISSUES/CHALLENGES

*

Bali Focus is finalizing on a system where we separate organic and non-organic rubbish, pilot project is ongoing and we have achieved good results.

 

*

Bali Focus is creating a check list for all members with regards to environmental issues.

*

To establish list of all schools in Seminyak/Petitenget area, for future distribution and education.

*

To prepare ourselves for upcoming rainy-season, additional beach cleaners have been appointed, as of December 1st, 2003.

*

Still negotiating with Community for their support to provide location to build two additional collecting points.
